Kathleen Moore

In my art I am drawn to contrast and texture, often in nature, which seems to show up in all my work. I find Encaustic is warm (luscious), soft and comforting. I love the way it flows and smells as I work. I am informed by the medium as much as by my own curiosity and creativity. 

I want viewers to feel refuge and rest when they look at my art. To take a ‘mini-vacation’ from their circumstances. To find something they can relate to in a personal way.
