Watercolor, framed. Size 16” x 20”
Artist statement on this piece:
This watercolor was inspired by the quiet presence of the red toadstool, a small yet striking symbol of autumn’s mystery. I worked loosely, letting washes flow and textures emerge, echoing the way autumn light softens edges and deepens colors. Rather than a precise study, my aim was to capture a fleeting mood—the hush of the forest floor, the sense of hidden stories, and the gentle shift of the season. The toadstool becomes a reminder of autumn’s balance: fragile, vivid, and full of quiet wonder.
